UV (Ultraviolet) Light Therapy
Details of Service:
Ultraviolet Light (UV) Therapy is used as a treatment for many skin based conditions such as Psoriasis and alopecia. Melton Health and Community Services (Green Building) has both a booth and a hand / foot machine to provide this therapy. Sessions can range in both time and sessions per week dependent on the needs of the patient.
A dermatologist must see all patients prior to commencing this service and therefore a GP referral is required. Please refer to our Dermatology information.
Triage of Referrals:
All referrals will come directly from the treating dermatologist and there is no waiting period for these sessions.
Current Session Times
All sessions are located at Melton Health and Community Services Green Building.
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Important Information:
All patients requiring UV Therapy are required to see a dermatologist prior.
No requirement to go through My Aged Care for UV Therapy Services.
Any patient who has missed UV sessions for a period greater than 14 days will be required to see a dermatologist prior to recommencing.
