Adult Speech Pathology
Details of Service
Speech Pathologists help people to manage and improve their communication and ability to swallow food and drinks. This includes providing therapy, education, using different methods to communicate and teaching others how to help.
People may need to see a Speech Pathologist due to progressive neurological conditions (e.g. Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neuron Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia), stroke, chronic diseases or disability.
Speech Pathology services are also on offer within our Rehabilitation Service.
Triage of Referrals
Triage will occur based on the clinical information provided on the referral.

- Melton Health and Community Services (Green Building)
- Bacchus Marsh Community Health Centre
- Home Based Therapy
Hours of Operation:
- Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4pm
Important Information
Those requiring rehabilitation based services may be referred to the Rehabilitation Program.
NDIS services are available within the City of Melton and Moorabool Shires.
Some patients may be required to test their eligibility with NDIS and My Aged Care prior to commencing the service.
Service delivery location is based on service being required.
