Service Description	Western Health has a range of Specialist Surgeons with admitting rights. Surgery provided is General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedic and Endoscopy. The ward is staffed at all times by Registered and Enrolled nurses.
Eligibility	All people requiring public hospital care under the Medicare Agreement or private patients. All patients must be admitted by a Medical Officer with admitting rights to Western Health.
Access hours	24 hours
Referral process	Referred by Medical Practitioner or transferred from another hospital.
Cost to client	As per Medicare Agreement for public patients or by private health insurance cover.
